His life takes a bad turn when Han So-ra, a social media influencer who markets vegan salad images but is in reality a person that consumes sausages from convenience shops, develops an infatuation with him.
One fateful day, Jeong-tae, while rummaging through So-ra's apartment, finds her dead on her couch. A murder investigator, Oh Young-joo, puts together a case based on all the evidence against Jeong-tae as a criminal, but not long after that, a blackmailer begins pressuring him, exposing his secret habit. The social media of So-ra becomes a vehicle for Jeong-tae to root out the people around him that could be the potential criminals, thus absolving him from guilt.
Following Movie Plot Explained
The movie delves deep into the characters' psychological and moral departments. In other words, the ordinary-looking real estate agent, Gu Jeong-tae, is hiding a dark side that pilots the story. The scene where there is the talk of Han So-ra, who is the queen of disloyalty and is not close to the ideals she promotes online, describes the themes of pretense and social media. What follows is that the dramatic atmosphere, created by the exposure, the question, and the pressures on Jeong-tae, grips the movie. Jeong-tae's determination to uncover the truth and verify his identity is dangerous and includes new moral dilemmas. Themes such as the unknown and moral rightness are all parts of the film.
Following Movie Reviews
The film got such praises from both the critics and viewers due to the interesting storyline, great acting, and the atmosphere that could keep every viewer hooked. Byun Yo-han and Shin Hye-sun returned to the big screen with ‘A Day’ following being in the writing business for seven years – their exceptional roles and the characters they played surprised the audience. Kim Se-hwi did a great job with the pacing of the film and managed to create the tension in a very effective manner. The movie has been... very much entertained by the audience on the unfortunate trends of misguided social curiosity that also implicate social media deceit.
