The concept is of a young progressive thinker & social reformer Karsan, living in pre-independent Bombay. Since his mother’s death, he lives with his maternal uncle and aunt. Kishori is his fiancé, she is a pratidhivasi of Maharaj “JJ”, the chief of their holy place.

Karsan’s journey has to fight against the powerful sect led by Maharaj “JJ” who claims that sexual misconduct the women are a part of a spiritual journey. The actions of Karsan trigger fierce confrontation with him by the sect and this brings on a historical drama that endures even till this day.
