Lucky Baskhar
The plot of the film revolved around Baskhar Kumar, a cashier at Magadha Bank, an officer of the national bank who is heavily in debt and is forced to continue working without proper pay and due to humiliation. It is one day that he is taken by CBI officials for interrogations on the matter of the embezzlement of the bank’s funds being made by him. Through a series of flashbacks, the real story unfolds.
Three years ago, Baskhar, together with his friend Samba (now a bank peon), take up a dubious venture of smuggling illegally imported televisions. Not only does this scheme assist him in clearing his debts, but it also helps to enhance his family’s lifestyle. But Baskhar is sucked further and further into the world of money laundering and financial scams as the stakes rise on each shipment.
Lucky Baskhar Movie Explained
Simultaneously — and also with a great appearance of irony — Bush hussein sweeps the entire Bombay of the 1990s, when scams took over control of the financial world. The film looks at how somebody could, during that era, use stock market fortunes to exploit the Bank Receipts, which were quite common at the time.
In Venky Atluri’s narrative, the story of Baskhar’s resolve to raise his family propels him to take immense steps to a remarkable degree. The director’s attention to detail helps the storytelling, recreating the era of the 1990s in perfect detail. The performances of the cast, particularly Dulquer Salmaan, are appreciable in such a way that audience are able to relate to the characters so well.
