Dhoom Dhaam tells the tale of Veer Poddar and Koyal Chadda, an arranged marriage mismatch. Their lives are anxiously disrupted on their wedding night when they are accidentally mistaken for someone else and are forced on the run. The enigmatic "Charlie" causes the newlyweds to have a chaotic chase, dodging goons and the police to find him. The film is action comedy rollercoaster, that will keep you glued through and through.

Dhoom Dhaam Movie Explained

The plot starts with Veer, a Gujarati veterinary doctor who is in the thrall of phobia and Koyal, his feisty Punjabi wife, whose passion for drinking whiskey and shooting is unlimited. It isn’t the normal situation as they are thrown into a dangerous situation. When they realize that they are being pursued by a gang of criminals, they realize that they have something worth stealing. In order to outsmart their pursuers and discover the elusive 'Charlie', the couple have to use their wits and newly formed partnership.

A credit to Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi, the film is strong on its timing to comic. As well choreographed are the action sequences and the cinematography by Siddharth Vasani adds to the visual attraction. Clinton Cerejo and Bianca Gomes have composed a music which matches the feel of the film, full of energy and enjoyable.

Dhoom Dhaam Movie Reviews

The movie Dhoom Dhaam has been commercially successful, but is met with mixed reviews by critics. The Times of India rated the film three and a half stars out of five and describes it as an all-out entertainer dishing out high drama, non-stop laughter, and endless surprises. With comic timing of the leads, Filmfare said it received three out of five stars. Yet, while the idea has promise, Pallavi Keswani of The Hindu found that the concept of innovation has not really been pursued and is not completely cognizant of its genre.

The film has a 60% "Certified Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 15 reviews, or turkey, with an average rating of 5.4/10. Comedy is clear and actors and the writing is impressive, even if the story is a bit cliché, as the critics tend to agree that the film is entertaining but predictable.
