Accused Levan Akin, directors of the film 'Crossing' are a tale full of themes that have to do with identity, acceptance, and yes, to bring them closer. It features retired school teacher from Georgia, the Lia, who sets out to track down Tekla, the long-lost niece, who is a transgender woman.

The promise that she made her dead sister to bring Tekla home was what drove Lia to search. Achi, a young neighbor, also offers to help with the search, along with her. On their way around the busy streets of Istanbul, they stumble upon Evrim, a transgender lawyer who helps them on their mission. It is a very personal and emotional journey with many of the complexities of human relationships and the barrier between us.
